Dancing On Ice viewers have fumed over a 'voting scam' as they issue complaints to Ofcom following a huge format change to the show. The ITV ice skating show has returned for another year, with a shock elimination taking place on Sunday night. Last week saw the likes of Chris Taylor, Sam Aston, Michaela Strachan, Anton Ferdinand, Chelsee Healey and Ferne McCann take to the ice to show off their best moves. This weekend, the remaining five celebs finally strapped on their skates to show the judges their skills.

EastEnders legend Charlie Brooks and Sir Steve Redgrave performed, as well as Mollie Pearce, Dan Edgar and Josh Jones. In a huge twist to the long-running ITV show though, instead of a skate-off, the star with the lowest score was automatically sent home. The lowest score was made up of the results of a public vote as well as the judge’s scores.

Hosts Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern revealed Chelsee was the first contestant to be sent home. Reacting to her exit, Chelsee said: “It's fine," as she fought back the tears. Holly said: "I think everyone is shocked actually to see you in this position." Chelsee replied: "Personally there's been a lot going on with me that I've been struggling with so I couldn't focus, but I'm just really grateful.".

Fans fumed at the result, with some even issuing formal complaints as they branded the series a "fix". One viewer fumed: "THIS IS A F***ING RIGGED JOKE. THERE WERE FIVE SKATING TONIGHT, SIX LAST WEEK. PERCENTAGES ARE ALL RIGGED. CHELSEE HAS BEEN DONE OVER.".
