Chelsee Healey had spoken about the ‘enormous’ grief of suffering a miscarriage while training for Dancing on Ice. The 36-year-old actress is best known for playing Janeece Bryant on Waterloo Road, Honey Wright in Casualty and Goldie McQueen in Hollyoaks. She was also competing on the current season of the ITV ice skating season with professional Andy Buchanan; however the pair were eliminated earlier this month.

Now, a few weeks on, Chelsee has revealed the devastating loss of her third child. Beginning her post apologising if her story was ‘triggering’ for anyone, she went on to share she hoped it could ‘bring comfort for those who need it’. ‘I want to start by saying thank you to every one of you for your support during DOI and especially my family, To ITV and my skate partner Andy. I haven’t been able to talk about this until now, because it’s been too painful. I hope by sharing it know it can help other women going through something similar. Been so anxious to post,’ she wrote.

‘Whilst committed to DOI and the busy training schedule, to our shock we discovered that I was pregnant. Within weeks of finding out this news, before me and my family could allow this news to sink in and digest it, I suffered a miscarriage. Understandably this really did devastate me and hit me deeply, finding out this news and then having it taken in such a short proof of time is an awful lot to deal with.

‘I know I am beyond blessed to have two beautiful daughters, but the grief still feels enormous. I am grieving for the little soul i carried momentarily who I’ll never get to meet, the sibling that my girls will never get to have. The child that will forever leave my heart curious with the “what ifs”. And it is painful.’. Although Chelsee said she initially believed she could ‘just carry on’ she came to realise the ‘hurt’ she was facing, and she couldn’t ‘just move on’.

‘I think that my little baby deserves to be honoured by me allowing myself to feel all the emotions, all the sadness for what will not be. There is no shame in that,’ she added. The actress went on to conclude her post by writing: ‘For any woman going through something similar. I am truly sorry for your loss, and I hope you are allowed to express and feel your emotions. I hope you find your way through this. Our heavenly children deserve a place in our hearts. A gentle reminder that we never know what someone else is going through or how their pain maybe hurting them. To all of you, I am sending my love.’.

She was quickly met with messages of support, with Andy commenting: ‘You’re a special person and I can’t express how much I respect you as a friend and a partner. Knowing what you were going through, you always impressed me with how you put on a brave face and treated everyone around you with such kindness, even on you most difficult days. You’re brave for sharing this.’. Meanwhile Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox wrote: ‘I’m so sorry, sending you and your family lots of love.’.

Coronation Street’s Helen Flanagan added: ‘So sorry Chelsee sending you so much love.’. Chelsee shares daughter Coco, seven, with ex-boyfriend Jack Malloy while her daughter Cookie, with boyfriend Eddie, was born last year. Chelsee and Andy were the first to be eliminated on this season of Dancing on Ice after having the lowest combined votes and judges’ scores. Struggling to hold back the tears at the time, Chelsee told Andy: ‘I feel, personally, there’s been a lot going on with me that I’ve been struggling with, so I couldn’t completely focus. I’m just really grateful, I’ve had the best time.’.
