Speaking about his first time meeting David, Ty told Lorraine in 2020: “It was great, I was five when I first met my dad, my mum was working on Doctor Who at the time.” He added: “I watched him on TV as the hero, and it was crazy how much your life can change.”.
Back in 2008, Georgia appeared on the show in an episode called The Doctor’s Daughter where she played the role of David’s genetically engineered daughter, Jenny.
After meeting on the show in 2008, David and Georgia tied the knot three years later in a romantic ceremony on New Year's Eve 2011.
During his time on the hit series, the actor, who was the Tenth Doctor, appeared alongside actresses including Billie Piper, Catherine Tate and Freema Agyeman as they travelled in the TARDIS through time and space.
But in addition to introducing him to a whole new set of fans, Doctor Who has a more special connection to David as it’s how he met his wife, Georgia.
