During his BAFTA hosting debut last year, David couldn't resist a dig at Trump while discussing the Yorgos Lanthimos film Poor Things, describing the premise as "a child’s brain is put in an adult’s body.".
Kylie Jenner made a surprise appearance at the awards to support boyfriend Timothée Chalamet, whose hit Dune took home a number of awards throughout the night - including the BAFTAs for sound and visual effects.
David quipped: "In fact, it’s the boldest architecture in film this year, apart from Donald Trump ’s hair in The Apprentice."
This year's awards saw some of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters take home a major BAFTA gong, with Dune, Wicked and Emilia Perez among the winners.
In his dig, David teased Trump wouldn't have seen the film as he said: "It’s a 15 and it’s not on Nickelodeon," prompting laughter from the crowd.
