Death In Paradise season 14’s premiere episode will see the Honore Police force take on another head-scratching murder investigation but who are the guest stars this time around?. DI Mervin Wilson (played by Don Gilet) may not be keen on the idea of staying in Saint Marie, but he cannot help but be roped in when the body of a young man is recovered from a ravine. With the BBC cosy crime drama ready to return, here’s everything there is to know about the guest stars that are to be welcomed into the fold for the first episode of 2025.

Long-term fans of the show will be thrilled to see actor Tobi Bakare return to Death In Paradise as Sergeant JP Hooper as a guest star. JP, who had been in the show since season four, left in 2021 when he accepted a promotion as the head of the police training programme which meant him moving to another island. He appeared in a singular episode for season 13, and viewers are expecting another update on JP’s life in this next instalment.

There will be a new officer in Saint Marie when Death In Paradise returns with actor Anthony J Abraham portraying Officer Benjamin Brice. Little is known about Benjamin at this point, and he has only been listed as a guest star, so time will tell if he is going to continue his journey with the police. He is played by actor Anthony J Abraham, who starred in Jack Whitehall’s Bad Education as Inchez, as well as Artie in the children’s show Theodosia and Fillik in The Acolyte on Disney+.

Actress Michelle Greenidge is a recognisable face when it comes to British shows, having played Valerie in Netflix’s After Life, PC Williams in the comedy-drama Code 404 and Rosa Babtunde in Channel 4 ’s It’s A Sin. What role she will play in Death In Paradise isn’t clear but it is believed that she is a relation of new police officer Benjamin Brice. Damon Clarke is another key character who is believed to be a suspect in the murder of the young man.

He is played by actor Mark Holden who fans may recognise from His Dark Materials, A Discovery of Witches, Damaged and The Perfect Escape. Rounding off this week’s guest stars is actor Stephen Odubola who will be behind Karlus Brice, another relation of new officer Benjamin Brice. Odubola has previously worked on Blue Story, The Sandman and the cooking drama Boiling Point with Peaky Blinders star Stephen Graham.
