Death In Paradise season 14 is almost upon us, so when exactly will it start and who are the stars of this Christmas special?. For the past 13 years, Death In Paradise has been keeping BBC viewers entertained with its quirky detectives and puzzling investigations, showing no signs of slowing down.
The beloved crime drama has not only spawned a franchise with the launch of Beyond Paradise and Australia's Return to Paradise, but the original show has also been renewed for a 14th season. In line with previous series, a Christmas special of Death In Paradise is set to kick off the latest series, which will continue sometime in the New Year. The Death In Paradise Christmas special 2024, and subsequently the premiere episode of series 14, will air on Sunday, December 22, at 8.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
However, American fans will have to wait a bit longer for the same episode, as it will be released on Britbox in the US on New Year's Eve, December 31. At this point, it's unclear exactly when Death In Paradise season 14 will continue for the rest of the series following the debut episode.
At the conclusion of series 13, viewers bid farewell to DI Neville Parker (portrayed by Ralf Little) as he departed with DS Florence Cassell (Josephine Jobert) at his side. The forthcoming 14th series will introduce new detective DI Mervin Wilson, played by actor Don Gilet, injecting some fresh vigour into the show following Little's four-year tenure.
