The explosion at Chirk Marina, in Wrexham, caused two boats to catch fire at around 6pm on Saturday, December 14, with fire rescue crews rushing to the scene.

Two people managed to escape the blaze with minor injuries and were taken to hospital by ambulance before the vessel completely sank sadly killing a pet dog.
The fire then spread to a second vessel - a 40ft traditional canal boat - as firefighters with rescue pumps tackled the blaze.]
