Fiorentina are interested in a January move for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, according to reports. The Toffees star has struggled in front of goal so far this season, scoring just twice in 15 Premier League appearances. The 27-year-old's contract expires at the end of the season and he's available to hold talks with European clubs over a pre-contract agreement during the January window.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Dimarzio, Fiorentina could be tempted to make a move for Calvert-Lewin next month. Everton have become known as a selling club in recent years with Anthony Gordon and Amadou Onana fetching big fees to help finances.
Earlier this season, manager Sean Dyche admitted he would rather lose Calvert-Lewin for nothing next summer than jeopardise their Premier League status by cashing in during the January window. Fiorentina are interested in a January move for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The 27-year-old's contract with the Toffees expires at the end of the current season. ‘I think the bigger prize in this case is Premier League football for Everton Football Club,’ said Dyche in October. ‘The number one priority since I’ve been here is safeguarding our status.
