Most of us bin potato peelings without a second thought, but one air fryer enthusiast is on a mission to change that. Air Fryer Girl UK has gone viral with her four-ingredient trick for transforming your spud scraps into a scrumptious snack - and it's winning fans online.

In her viral TikTok clip, she's seen peeling potatoes, then washing and drying the skins prior to cooking. For flavour, she tosses them in oil and seasons with salt and pepper, before air frying them at 190C for 10 minutes. She recommends: "Give them a shake and pop them back in until they're crispy.".

While some sceptics can't fathom munching on peelings, others are can't wait to sample this easy treat. One follower joked: "I keep saving all these recipes like I own an air fryer.". Another chimed in with their unique take, writing: "I put my chips in to the deep fat fryer then put the deep fat fryer in to the air fryer. Delicious." And a third shared their gourmet twist, writing: "I throw garlic and rosemary with salt and pepper on mine! Absolutely lush.".

If an air fryer isn't part of your kitchen kit, fear not. To achieve that coveted crunch, just bake the peels in the oven with a bit of olive oil and a dash of salt until they're golden and crispy. Or if you prefer, give them a quick fry in a pan on the hob.
