Drew McIntyre reveals The Rock is 'working on a favour' for him - as he expresses John Cena frustration and opens up on 'real' CM Punk feud

Drew McIntyre has been reinvented over the last few months - going from a somewhat nearly-man to one of the best heels in the business. He is coming off the back of a months-long feud with CM Punk, one that culminated in a heated Hell in a Cell match that received widespread plaudits.
But McIntyre, whether in character or not, portrays a man on a mission for justice, to essentually make sure no one crosses him - anyone that does pays - and that he prioritises what is important to him. He seems set for a crash course with Roman Reigns in the near future. The two have crossed before - most notably when fans genuinely believed McIntyre would win Reign's world title in Wales in 2022.
But this time it's different. McIntyre is a villain, and has his sights set on big things in 2025 - both in and outside of wrestling. Mail Sport's ALEX McCARTHY spoke to McIntyre to find out exactly what those goals are. Drew McIntyre has opened up on his goals for 2025 after a highly-successful run in 2024.
McIntyre is one of the biggest heels in the business after undergoing somewhat of a repackage. He took on Jey Uso on WWE's Netflix launch at the start of the year, losing the match to rival. Alex McCarthy: How was the Netflix launch, specifically your match with Jey Uso?.
Drew McIntyre: I wasn't joking when I said I had a contact high. It's an LA thing. In general, the place just reeks of a certain substance. And then during his entrance, very publicly, having a good old time with old Travis Scott and that's not my thing, and that 100 per cent is a thing, contact high. I'm not making excuses, I'm just stating facts.
