Eamonn Holmes has shared a worrying health update, revealing he is ‘wheelchair laden’. The GB News presenter, 65, has faced mobility issues in recent years, and has been pictured in public using crutches, a walking frame, or in a wheelchair.
Earlier this year, he claimed he was on ‘borrowed time’ and ‘not OK’, before heartbreakingly sharing that he is unable to look after himself anymore. He has now shared an update, saying he has to ‘rely’ on other people, and is finding it ‘difficult’.
The former This Morning star was talking about Christmas travel issues alongside his GB News co-host Isabel Walker, amid warnings from AA to drivers to expect long traffic jams over the festive period. At one point, Eamonn addressed people seeking alternative ways to get home for Christmas, when he said: ‘The train definitely could be a dream, but I’m now sort of wheelchair laden, and you rely on a lot of people to get you on and off.
‘It’s very, very difficult doing that, I just threw that in, it’s not a concern to anybody, but there we go.’. Isabel replied: ‘Well, it’s a consideration lots of people in the same position as you, Eamonn.’. It’s been a difficult year for Eamonn, who split from his wife Ruth Langsford in May after 14 years of marriage.
He’s since been open about his new relationship with Katie Alexander, 42, who reportedly ‘wants to love and care for him – especially as he’s in such a bad way with his legs and back, and can’t walk properly without assistance’, it was claimed earlier this year.
