Following the sudden news Natalie Cassidy is leaving EastEnders, fans of the BBC One soap have seemingly worked out how her character Sonia Fowler will leave. Star Natalie, who made her EastEnders debut back in 1993, has quit the BBC One soap after 32 years. Sonia, as viewers know, is at the centre of a big story right now as she attempts to figure out why sister Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) confessed to the murder of Debbie Colwell.

Little does she know, however, that current partner Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) is actually the killer – and he’s been keeping Bianca prisoner at a secret lockup!. Audience members of the show believe this storyline will tie into Sonia’s exit, with many now speculating she will leave Albert Square once Bianca is found. While we don’t know any details regarding Sonia’s exit right now, producer of the show Chris Clenshaw has confirmed she will play a pivotal role in the upcoming anniversary. ‘I feel extremely sad to be writing this, but also very excited,’ Natalie the soap star in a statement shared with The Sun. ‘After another 11 solid years back on The Square, I have decided it’s time to move on to pastures new. EastEnders is in my bones so I will never forget where I started my career and I will continue to love the show.
