There could be a rather unexpected twist on EastEnders in the coming weeks, as fans think they have solved a major storyline. The Cindy Beale whodunnit is rumbling on, with a number of suspects under fire. More than one character has been accused by viewers, the police and their loved ones and that is set to continue.
But does a major clue give away the real culprit, and could it be someone that isn't even linked to the family? Might a recent handful of scenes hint that the guilty party is someone pretty unexpected?. Cast your minds back to Christmas, when Mo Harris was flogging metal shovels - an indication of what was to come. On Christmas Day evening, someone snuck up behind Cindy in the Square and hit her over the head with one of the shovels.
Among the named suspects include her son Peter Beale, her then partner Ian Beale, daughter-in-law Lauren Branning and her love rival Elaine Peacock. Fans recently suspected one of her daughters Anna or Gina might be to blame too, while someone who is not a suspect Kojo Asare, the first to rumble Cindy's fling with Junior Knight, has also been tipped to be the attacker.
But now fans are thinking outside the box, amid another theory it could be a returning character or someone from Cindy's past. Viewers are wondering whether a character might be acting a little bit strangely and maybe it's a sign of their guilt. Mo has been harassing the suspects and even Reiss Colwell, after Cindy moved in with him temporarily after her hospital release. She wants to know all the details including what happened to her, who threw the brick through the window and who attacked Cindy at Christmas.
