EastEnders fans 'rumble' Cindy Beale's real attacker - but it's 'not George'

There was quite a twist on EastEnders on Tuesday night, but fans are convinced it's all a red herring. George Knight was well and truly put in the frame as Cindy Beale's attacker, as a gruesome discovery hinted he was hiding something. George's wife Elaine Peacock and his daughters Gina and Anna Knight were left concerned, after finding the shirt he wore on Christmas Day shoved in a bag under the stairs.
The shirt was clearly hidden and it also had blood stains all over it. The trio were panicked by their find, knowing full well that a mystery person brutally hit Cindy over the head with a shovel on Christmas Day. But does this evidence mean George is Cindy's attacker, and is it her blood on the shirt? Each of the suspects could be hiding something, and George himself isn't revealing the truth about his whereabouts that night.
After he was kicked out of the pub by Elaine we have no idea where he went. We saw him asking his brother Kojo for an alibi days later, with Kojo vowing to pretend he was with him all night when the police came knocking. Now the shirt covered in blood is another hint George is hiding something. But fans do not think he was the one who attacked Cindy, believing there is another explanation for it all.
They also suspect someone else is to blame for Cindy's attack after recent scenes, amid her remaining in a coma. George's son Junior Knight, Cindy's fling, is also a suspect - and several residents have accused him of the crime. Kathy Beale even suggested to the police that the scorned lover may be to blame, and he certainly hasn't helped matters. This week he was confronted in the pub by characters including Elaine, George and Cindy's son Peter Beale, as well as his partner Lauren Branning.
