The Anthony Fox murder drama continues this week in Emmerdale, and Chas isn’t happy after finding out Ruby and Caleb ‘let Aaron believe’ he was the killer. Thursday night’s episode saw Ruby confess to Aaron that she was the one to kill her father Anthony, after he’d left him for dead. He then requested the help of his partner John Sugden to get rid of the body, but little did they know Ruby had been there in between.

When she and Caleb returned to dispose of the body, it had already been taken care of by John Sugden. The four put together a cover up story, which was overheard by Chas Dingle, who is now in on the plan. However, on Friday night’s episode, after being visited by the police, Caleb was seen rehashing the story with Chas, Aaron and John. Chas, however, wasn’t best pleased. “I’m glad you’re finding this easy,” she told Caleb, who denied he was.

“Pulling us all in to some full-on conspiracy like it’s absolutely normal. I am sorry but I’m not about to take orders from a man who let my kid think he was a killer, alright?” she harshly told Caleb. The foursome were then interrupted by Marlon asking why Anthony had disappeared, as Chas brushed him off. Although Chas is sticking to Caleb’s story for now, could she be behind the downfall of him and Ruby? Or could it be another Dingle? Some fans think so….

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “When Cain finds out them pair of rats tried to frame Aaron #Emmerdale,” alongside a video of Cain telling Caleb: "You're dead to me! So why don't you just leave?". Another tweeted: “Caleb is a snake! When is Cain going to finish him off please?”. However, another responded: “Equally Caleb knows about Ruby & Cain 's one night stand following his final showdown with Anthony Whether Caleb holds that against Cain at some point remains to be seen. There's a chance Caleb may have forgotten about it now Anthony is dead or chose not to listen to him.” Another also disagreed, saying: "After the kicking Azza gave him shortly after returning to the village, I’m not sure Cain gives two s***s what happens to him.".

Elsewhere in the episode, Marlon ‘drew a link’ between Anthony and his missing daughter April. As he, along with most other villagers are unaware Anthony is dead, he became worried Anthony may have something to do with his daughter’s disappearance. "What if Anthony was in contact with April before she disappeared? I should have known if he's like that,” he said. Like this story?
