Example surprised by early arrival of baby son as he reveals unique name

Example has become a father again after his partner Daisy Cox gave birth on New Year’s Day. Their 2025 is certainly off to a very exciting start with the arrival of their first child together!. The ecstatic parents took to Instagram to share the first pictures of the bundle of joy, and reveal what they have called him – they chose Lucas as his first name, and the unique middle name Winter. His surname is a combination of both mum and dad’s monikers – Cox Gleave (Example’s real name is Elliot John Gleave).

The youngster already has nicknames of Lukey Baby and Gorge Lucas… we’d expect nothing less from the son of the guy known as Example. The 42-year-old singer shared with fans that his arrival was a little sooner than they expected. ‘Arrived 4 weeks ahead of schedule and he’s absolutely perfect. Best NYD present ever. And no one gonna forget his birthday ever,’ he explained.

The caption added: ‘Mummy and baby doing great. E&D xx.’. The messages of congratulations flooded in after the morning announcement which included three black and white photos. In one image Example is wearing a surgical hat and kissing Daisy’s forehead as she cradles Lucas. In another, the baby is adorably holding onto his dad’s finger.
Fellow celebrity dads lead the well wishes with former footballer Wayne Bridge writing: ‘Love it congrats’ and Joe Wicks, also known as the Body Coach, adding: ‘Ah mate what a wonderful gift. Congratulations to you both. Enjoy all those Chesty’s.’ Producer Goldie simply said ‘Congratulations’.
