Family devastated as 'most loving, kind-hearted woman' dies after falling down pub stairs

The family of a woman who tragically died after falling down the stairs at a pub have said she will be "missed more than words can describe". Debra Hellon, 65, who was known as Debbie, was rushed to hospital after her fall at the weekend. The tragic incident happened on Saturday, January 25 at Thomas Rigby's pub on Dale Street, Liverpool. Staff at the pub called the ambulance service and performed CPR on Debbie until paramedics arrived.
Despite Debbie being rushed to the critical care unit at Aintree Hospital but sadly medical teams were unable to save her and she passed away on Monday, January 27, reports Liverpool Echo. Debbie came from Irby in Wirral and worked in HR. She was just three months off retirement when she died, and was said to be "so looking forward to spending more time with her friends and family". She leaves behind her mum, Pauline, her two sons Adam and Craig, her partner Dave, brother Neil and her grandkids. They are all heartbroken by her death.

She was the most loving, kind-hearted woman I've ever met. She was so funny and welcoming. Debbie was the best mum to her kids and so loving to her grandkids. She was always there if you needed a chat.".
In a separate statement, Debbie's family thanked the people who had tried to save her life, saying: "We would like to thank the staff at Thomas Rigby’s, the couple who carried out first aid, the ambulance service and especially Sandra, Ailsa and Emily from the critical care unit at Aintree Hospital, who helped and cared for Debbie in her final days. Rest in peace, the lovely Debs. You will be missed more than words can describe. Love you millions.".
