Father Brown season 12 is now in full swing but who is to star opposite the amateur sleuth in this second episode?. Harry Potter star Mark Williams is back as the humble yet observant Roman Catholic priest for the 1950s cosy crime drama. As with every episode of the hit BBC series, Father Brown (played by Mark Williams) finds himself tasked with solving a crime and season 12, episode two, The Kembleford Players, is no different.

Teddy has taken over as the new head of the Hambletson Amateur Dramatic Society (HADS), the rivals of The Kembleford Players. He is portrayed by actor Gerard Horan who is remembered for playing firefighter Leslie “Charisma” Appleby in London’s Burning in the 1980s, as well as for Terry Seymour in the award-winning comedy-drama Detectorists.

More recently, Horan has featured in Belgravia: The Next Chapter, The Outlaws and Break Clause. Taking on the role of the “genius” behind The Kembleford Players’ sets, Herman Jolly, is actor Christopher Fairbank. He will be best remembered for playing Moxey in the comedy-drama Auf Wiedersehen, Pet but BBC soap fans will associate him with Eddie Knight, George Knight’s (played by Colin Salmon) cruel dad in EastEnders.

Since 2002, actress Wendy Mae Brown has had minor parts in projects like Blackbeard, Doctors, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Casualty and Your Christmas Or Mine?. However, she is by far better known for her work in the West End, starring as Becky in the musical Waitress, Joanne in Rent and playing Oda Mae Brown in Ghost.
