With budgets tight for many this year, some of us may be struggling with the often hefty costs of putting on a Christmas spread. But major supermarkets have answered our prayers, dramatically slashing vegetable prices.

Festive feast essentials like carrots, potatoes and the all-important Brussels sprouts are among the discounted foods which start at just 15p. However some customers should be aware that they need to be signed up for loyalty schemes in some cases, though this can be done for free.
