Gladiators icon Jet has reportedly split from her wife Zoe after an 18-month marriage. The legendary TV star, whose real name is Diane Youdale, tied the knot with her partner in an intimate ceremony in July 2023, after they met in their local Tesco. At the time, they kept their nuptials ‘very, very quiet,’ with Diane saying they were both ‘very private people’ and didn’t even inform their ‘nearest and dearest’.

However, it’s now been claimed Diane, 53, has split from Zoe, 49. A source told MailOnline: ‘Diane and Zoe just realised it wasn’t to be. They didn’t see any point carrying on so decided to end their marriage. ‘It’s sad, especially as they were only married for nearly 18 months, but they just weren’t getting on. ‘On reflection, they may have rushed into making their relationship official but there’s no regrets or hard feelings between them.’.

Diane proposed to Zoe four months after meeting, and they married after a year-and-a-half of dating, saying at the time: ‘Literally nine people on the planet knew.’. ‘When you’re in the public eye – whether it was like me and it was literally last millennium, or in this day and age on social media – things just run away with you,’ she said when speaking to Closer magazine. She added: ‘I’m in my 50s now and we’re both very private people and we thought, “You know, let’s just keep this thing quiet”.’.

‘It was casual, I didn’t wear a dress. I wore a nice boho-type top, trousers and a beautiful pair of sandals,’ the former athlete recalled. ‘Zoe wore her chinos, brogues, and a nice shirt with a waistcoat. She looked ever so smart. I cried a lot.’. Diane had previously spoken about the details of her relationship on the Chillin’ with Ice podcast in early July, saying she ‘didn’t give a damn’ about what people thought of her love life, after Zoe approached her in a supermarket and the pair hit it off.

‘I’m safe and I’m loved and there’s no threat to me anymore and that’s what means the world to me.’. She joined the iconic BBC gameshow Gladiators in 1992 at the age of 22, but was forced to leave four years later after suffering a neck injury. During her time on the series, which originally ran from 1992 until 2000 and was revived last year with a new batch of superhuman athletes, Diane was in a relationship with Gladiators co-star Hunter (James Crossley).
