GOLF legend John Daly has been rushed to hospital and forced to undergo emergency surgery. The five-time PGA Tour winner is facing a lengthy spell away from the game after having an operation on his left hand. The 58-year-old revealed the news on social media with a picture of him bandaged up in a hospital bed.

Daly did not reveal how his injuries came about but it is believed that an accident occurred within the last fortnight. That is because Daly made headlines after hitting golf balls over a road on New Year's Eve. Daly's love of booze is legendary and he has partnered with Good Boy Vodka to release a range of ready-to-drink cocktails.
