Hammersmith murder: Woman, 36, found dead after man 'forces way inside flat' in west London A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a 36-year-old woman in Hammersmith.
Detective Chief Inspector, Ollie Stride, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are saddened to hear about the loss of this young woman and are working to ensure that her family are informed and supported by specialist officers as soon as possible.
Met officers were called to a residential property in Coulter Road at 10.13pm on Sunday following reports that a man was attempting to force entry into one of the flats.
Officers rushed to the scene and, having gained entry to the property, found a woman, 36, who had died following what appeared to be a head injury.
“Although we have made an arrest, we still need to have an understanding of what took place last night in Coulter Road.
