Prior to Blake Lively accusing Justin Baldoni of launching a smear campaign against her, Hannah Berner dropped the C-word in a joke about the actress that was clearly alluding to the ridicule the Gossip Girl faced this past year. Berner's poorly-timed joke was on Netflix's comedy special, Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year, which was released Friday but amid the aftermath of Lively and Baldoni's legal battle.

The Summer House alum has since clarified the special was shot prior to the world learning of Lively's legal complaint. While on stage, Berner tells the crowd: 'The word c**t was trending this year,' before adding, 'I don't think Blake Lively was that bad.' The joke garnered laughter from the crowd.

Berner took to her Instagram Stories on Friday to shed light on the timeline, adding she completely stood behind Lively. 'My joke in the Netflix special was filmed before news of the lawsuit,' she posted to her Instagram Stories. 'To be 100 percent clear, I support Blake xoxo,' she added.

Prior to Blake Lively accusing Justin Baldoni of an alleged smear campaign, Hannah Berner dropped the C-word in a joke about the actress that was clearly referencing all the backlash the Gossip Girl star bore the brunt of this past year. Over the weekend, Lively made headlines across the globe when she alleged in legal paperwork that Baldoni, 40, sexually harassed her throughout the making of the movie, and then went on to engineer a smear campaign against her.

Since the filing, the fallout for Baldoni has seen the actor - who also directed the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's book of the same name - dropped by WME talent agency, parted ways with his podcast partner and seen his 'The Voices of Solidarity Award' rescinded by the Vital Voices organization.
