Justin Baldoni's publicist Jennifer Abel has broken her silence on her leaked text messages about Blake Lively after the star accused him of sexual harrassment. The actress, 37, has accused her It Ends With Us co-star, 40, of inappropriate conduct on set and retaliatory behavior in a 80-page legal complaint. He has furiously denied the accusations.
Lively's team say that text messages included as part of the legal complaint reveal 'a multi-tiered plan that Mr. Baldoni and his team described as 'social manipulation' designed to 'destroy' Ms. Lively's reputation', which they say began after she raised concerns about conditions on set.
Abel's text messages with crisis management expert Melissa Nathan were leaked as part of Lively's lawsuit against Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios. But Abel has since posted a statement on Facebook defending her messages with Nathan and strongly denied there was ever a 'smear' campaign against Lively.
She wrote: 'What the cherry picked messages don't include, although not shockingly as it doesn't fit the narrative, is that there was no 'smear' implemented.
