Harry Maguire makes 'frustrated' admission in verdict on Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim

Harry Maguire has declared that Ruben Amorim is the total opposite of predecessor Erik ten Hag - and admitted the new Manchester United head coach is "frustrated" with their current woes. The 39-year-old took to the Old Trafford hotseat last month, after the Dutchman was sacked in October. Amorim has yet to be able to sustain an improvement in the club's form with United sitting 14th in the Premier League.
The Red Devils are nine points off of fifth place heading into their clash with Newcastle. But despite just two wins in five league games under Amorim, Maguire is convinced his new boss can take United back to the top. The former Leicester defender admitted the transition could take time however, such is the difference between figures in charge so far this term. "He's come in, he's done everything he needs to do," Maguire told Sky Sports.
"He's really demanding. The thing is, the managers in styles, they're not a similar style, they're total opposite of what they want and what they demand. So the transition period is going to be tough. We all have great belief in the management and all the coaching staff and I'm sure will turn around and he knows exactly what he needs to do to get this club back.".
Maguire added that Amorim, who led Sporting CP to their first title following a 19-year drought, is programmed for success. The England defender admitted the season has not been up to scratch. "He's a winner so I'm sure he will be frustrated because he hates losing games," said Maguire. "It's like all of us players, we don't like losing football matches whether it's on the training pitch, or out there at Old Trafford or at an away football stadium.
