All you can eat buffets and bottomless pints are out, and life-extending holidays are in. That's according to Booking.com's 2025 travel predictions, which forecasts that this is the year when British holidaymakers will take their hunt for the elixir of life abroad. According to its research, 48 per cent of UK travellers would pay for a holiday that's sole purpose was to extend their lifespan and wellbeing.

Driven by a desire to cultivate a better lifestyle, 50 per cent of British travellers are hoping to venture on a longevity retreat – a wellness camp that focuses on the pursuit of a longer, healthier life. In addition, 35 per cent are even considering a biohacking retreat for 2025 — a wellness experience that combines science with luxury to improve overall health and well-being.

As 2025 appears to be set to be a health-conscious year, Booking.com has rounded up some of its 'longevity' holidays, including natural spas, yoga retreats and serene environments. According to Booking.com, Bali is a premier destination for wellness and relaxation, renowned for its serene atmosphere and spiritual energy. The island offers a wide range of activities including yoga and meditation, all set amidst vibrant jungles, tranquil rice terraces, and elegant beaches. Traditional Balinese massages and holistic spa treatments provide a unique blend of healing and relaxation.

Bali also has a healthy and vibrant cuisine, which ties in with its welcoming culture. If heading to the island, COMO Shambhala Estate is a world-renowned getaway for savvy travellers who want to enhance their yoga practice in idyllic surroundings. The estate has individually-designed programmes from private instructors, as well as outdoor showers surrounded by the tropical greenery.
