Holly Willoughby has been slammed after wearing a plunging Wicked dress on Dancing On Ice. Last night, the 43-year-old transformed into Glinda the Good Witch from Wicked, donning a low-cut pink gown. Holly donned a voluminous pink tutu-style gown featuring a corseted, diamanté-embellished bodice. She let her blonde hair flow freely, completing the look with a sparkling tiara and a star-shaped wand as she gracefully glided across the stage.
This wardrobe choice elicited mixed reactions from viewers. Many praised her appearance, describing it as "incredible" and "pure magic." However, some criticised the outfit as inappropriate for a family-oriented program. One user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter : "Holly’s dress is a bit much for a family show." Whilst another added: “She’s a show off - when didn’t she wear those sort of gowns.”.
Supporters defended Holly, emphasising that she looked stunning. One user wrote: “Ok.. Holly Willoughby as Glinda is incredible, and simply perfection.” Whilst another penned: “Holly as Glinda and Stephen as Elphaba pure magic.”. Co-host Stephen Mulhern complemented the theme by dressing as Elphaba. This segment coincided with the ongoing popularity of the Wicked movie franchise, which debuted in November 2024.
Dancing On Ice made its return earlier this month, with Holly hosting alongside her pal Stephen. This season features a fresh lineup of celebrities vying for the title, including Ferne McCann, Mollie Pearce, Sir Steve Redgrave, Sam Aston, Charlie Brooks, Josh Jones, Anton Ferdinand, Chelsee Healey, Dan Edgar, Chris Taylor, and Michaela Strachan.
