Coca-Cola fans may want to make their way to their nearest Home Bargains store to grab a rare, lime-flavoured Coca Cola that has made a comeback after 17 years of being discontinued. An eagle-eye shopper recently spotted the unique drink back on the shelves at one of the Home Bargain store, priced at just under £2. The discovery was shared by Jo, who posts under the TikTok username @millennialdiscoversstuff. In a one-minute video, which has since gone viral with over 60,000 views, Jo takes viewers on a shopping tour of her local Home Bargains.
The video, captioned “Shopping at Home Bargains Today,” showcases a range of bargains, from food to pyjamas and home accessories. However, what really caught everyone’s attention was the rare Coca-Cola Lime, priced at £1.99. The video quickly sparked a flurry of excitement in the comments section, with one user saying, “Need to try that Lime Coca-Cola,” and another adding, “Amazing Home Bargains finds. Need to go.” Home Bargains, known for its motto "Top Brands, Bottom Prices," has gained popularity for offering branded goods at lower prices than many of its competitors. The store has gone viral recently, with shoppers spotting rare items and even designer-inspired homeware.
According to reports from Grocer, Coca-Cola Line flavour returned after a 17-year absence in the market. It was launched in 2005 but it got discontinued in 2007, despite the zero-sugar free version continuing to be sold until 2018. After almost two decades, the Lime flavoured was brought back earlier this year in 300ml, 500, 1.75L and 8x330ml formats. Coca-Cola Senior Brand Manager, Charlotte Walsham said: ‘We’re always looking to innovate and offer fans more of the flavours they love. Following the hugely popular relaunch of new flavours last year, we’re excited to continue to expand our flavours portfolio with the launch of Coca-Cola Lime. Fans of Coca-Cola will be able to enjoy their favourite original taste, now with a refreshing tangy citrus twist.’.
