Fizzy drink fans are going wild, as Pepsi has released not one, but two new flavours of their iconic beverage in the UK. Shoppers can now get their hands on Strawberries and Cream and Cream Soda variations of the iconic soft drink, available exclusively in Tesco stores. The two drinks, sold in cans and bottles, are only around for a limited time though, with Pepsi Max confirming on social media they’ll be on the shelves until March 19 – so you’ll have to be quick if you want to try them.

Those who’ve already managed to get their hands on the new flavours have been absolutely loving them, with people hailing the drinks ‘unreal’, ‘banging’ and ‘epic’. In response to the Pepsi announcement on Facebook, Zoe Hubbard said: ‘I won’t lie the Strawberry Cream Pepsi Max slaps.’. And she wasn’t the only one who felt this way. Emily Treen replied: ‘Tried this yesterday. Tastes exactly like the Starbucks strawberries and cream just a bit of fizz to it. Would I buy it again? Yes but if the other versions weren’t available.’.

While Jon Blower thought the Cream Soda one was ‘epic’, and Sammy Thompson posted: ‘The cream soda one is lush, tastes just like vanilla cola before they got rid of the full fat one.’. Craig Bennett was a fan of both drinks, claiming they’re ‘amazing’, as others begged Pepsi to ‘keep them’ and make the drinks part of the permanent range. However, a few people weren’t ‘convinced’ about the new flavours, while many people didn’t care either way and simply wanted Pepsi to bring back another beloved flavour: Raspberry.

Gary Brown wrote: ‘I’m down for cream soda, finally some bold flavours rather than citrus fruits that don’t mix, raspberry needs to come back though.’ And Karla Martin agreed, saying: ‘Bring back the raspberry! That was soooooo nice.’. Lucas Webster added: ‘They need to bring back Raspberry Pepsi Max, that was the best one!’. Up Next. This comes after the brand launched another brand new flavour back in December, although that one didn’t go down quite as well as these two. The Pepsi Zero Sugar Gingerbread, which had warm and spicy notes of cinnamon, ginger, brown sugar and molasses, was branded ‘gloriously nasty’, ‘disgusting’ and ‘horrifying’. In other fizzy drinks news, Pepsi’s rival, Coca-Cola has issued an urgent recall of drinks in Europe due to ‘chemical contamination’.

Excessive levels of the chemical chlorate were found in several of the soft drink giant’s brands due for sale in the UK, Netherlands, France, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg. Coke, Sprite, Fanta and other drinks such as Tropico and Appletiser have been affected. At exceptionally high levels, consumption of chlorate – a by-product of chlorine used to disinfect water – can cause thyroid problems or kidney failure and may be fatal.

However, Coca-Cola insists that levels, although higher than usual, are low enough that ‘any associated risk for consumers is very low’. Affected products include Fuze Tea, Minute Maid, Nalu, Royal Bliss and Tropico, with production codes between 328 GE and 338 GE. Other drinks recalled include. Several of the products were put up for sale in the UK, Netherlands, France, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Customers are asked not to drink them and instead return them to the point of sale for a refund. Arrow MORE: McDonald’s introduces iconic US meal deal to UK for first time designed by Stormzy.
