Ever pondered what your daily habits are doing to your vital organs? A revealing quiz, created by Dr Crystal Wyllie and Asda Online Doctor, is here to show you how your lifestyle might be impacting your health. Whether you're striving for a healthier year or just intrigued, the quiz will probe your lifestyle habits and use the data to disclose the potential effects these habits might have on your body.
It comes after a survey of 2,000 adults revealed that seven out of ten adults aren't consuming the recommended five portions of fruit and veg each day. A third confessed they regularly indulge in processed foods, and the study found that 20% consume fizzy drinks just as often.
When it comes to exercise, 16% confessed they never engage in any physical activity, and 21% admitted they only exercise once or twice in a typical week. Despite these results, only 18% of those polled acknowledged that their lifestyle isn't healthy with 34% attributing their unhealthy habits to lack of sleep and consumption of processed or sugary foods.
Still, 31% of those polled have set a New Year's goal to shed some pounds. On average, individuals hope to lose more than one and a half stone, with 9% aiming to lose three stones or more. To reach their weight goal, just over half of those polled plan to exercise more frequently while 39% aim to maintain a more balanced diet by eating more fruit and veg. Interestingly, 11% of Brits are turning to weight loss supplements and products such as injections for additional help.
