On his decision to scale back his involvement in Black Sabbath’s final performance, the rock legend said on the Ozzy Speaks show: "I'm not planning on doing a set with Black Sabbath but I am doing little bits and pieces with them.
The sold-out show will see the original Black Sabbath – Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward – return to play for the first time in 20 years.
Korn's Jake E Lee and Jonathan Davis KK Downing, Lzzy Hale (Halestorm) and Mike Bordin of Faith No More, will also take part, as will Rudy Sarzo, Sammy Hagar, Scott Ian of Anthrax, Papa V Perpetua (Ghost), Tom Morello fromRage Against The Machine, and Wolfgang Van Halen.
All profits from the show will be shared equally between the a number of charities, including Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice, a Children’s Hospice supported by Aston Villa.
As more icons of metal have been announced, tickets for the July 5 show at Ozzy's beloved Aston Villa's Villa Park were sold out in under 10 minutes.
