‘I discovered a luxury spa staycation for £89 in this underrated Northern town’ Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa is situated just outside the town of Crewe, but it very much feels like you’re out in the countryside.
Alongside the elegant old hall is a modern section of the hotel, which contains further bedrooms, a restaurant and bar, event spaces, plus the health club, spa and swimming pool.
Crewe Hall dates back to the 17th Century and has everything you for a restorative weekend away for all the family under one roof.
Crewe doesn’t have the best reputation as a holiday destination since it’s often dismissed as essentially being all about its train station, but Crewe Market Hall is a delightful little enclave of food stalls and bars.
We stayed in one of the new family deluxe rooms and once the children were settled there, chilling out on the massive beds with their iPads, the adults went downstairs for a quick tipple at the glamorous Sheridan Bar – a lovely way to round off a luxurious evening.
