AFTER getting pregnant at just 13-years-old, Maddie Lambert-Crowley thought her life was over. Now 21, and mum to Everly, seven, and Ryder, one, Maddie has spent years brushing off mean comments from trolls online, but it all worked out for the best. In a recent video, Maddie revealed that the father of her daughter blocked her when she told him she was pregnant - and that was just the tip of the ice-berg.

“I’d always look down on teen mums, if I’m being completely honest,” Maddie said. “I think that was just from a lack of knowing what it is really like.”. The mum-of-one said she “gave up her childhood” for Everly. And despite the rocky reaction to the pregnancy and absence for the first ten months of the tot's life, Maddie revealed the pair do not co-parent. “So many people assume I’m a bad mum,” Maddie said in one YouTube video, “But I have the same capacity to parent as anybody on this world.

“A good mum is somebody who drops everything for their child. “I dropped my whole childhood. “I do everything for that little girl. She is my entire world.”. Being open about her experience as a teen mum resulted in some pretty harsh comments. After sharing one clip on social media about her story, one person slammed: "Back in the day people used to have shame. "Obviously having a child is a beautiful thing, but glorifying teenage pregnancy is disgusting.".

"It's not something to be proud of," a second agreed. And someone else said: "At least she's taking responsibility for her actions. Maddie shared how she has been accepted for pre-medical studies, with the hope of one day becoming a doctor. “I also start classes in about two weeks—actually, a little less than that, maybe a week and a half. I’m kind of scared because it’s going to be all science classes.

“These are the kinds of classes that prepare people for medical school. “So for all the people who said I wasn’t pre-med in community college—suck my butt.”. Source: ONS. Maddie previously spoke about her desire to study medicine, saying in a YouTube Q&A: “I've talked a lot about going to medical school, and I think that would be a lot of fun. I do want to go into medicine, but I've also talked to a lot of medical professionals.

“I've spoken with doctors, PAs, and NPs, and one of the biggest consensuses I've gotten is that medical school equals debt, and you lose so much time.”. Fans were impressed with Maddie, with one saying: "Congrats on being pre-med Maddie.". Another one added: "I've been following your journey for about 4 years and I am so happy that you went back to school and I'm so happy for you.". Teen pregnancies in the UK have been decreasing considerably since 2007...
