A holidaymaker and her partner were left in hysterics after booking a quaint cottage - only to find the toilet placed in a peculiar part of the home. Rachel Wigmore, 24, and partner Jacob Wyles, 26, were told The Old Thatch in Hailsham, East Sussex, had one bathroom and an en suite when they booked it through AirBnB.

'It was a lovely cottage, very cute and cosy. It looked completely normal,' Rachel, a nursery room manager from London, said. She had booked the cottage for two nights ahead of her brother's wedding nearby. But upon arrival, they couldn't find the en suite anywhere and tore the place apart trying to find it.

Rachel said: 'We were searching the place for the en suite. When you find an AirBnB you have to have a little snoop about. 'We couldn't find the second loo anywhere.'. On the brink of giving up, the couple were amazed when they eventually pulled back a sliding wardrobe door to reveal the toilet nestled inside - within reaching distance of the bed.

Rachel Wigmore (pictured) and partner Jacob Wyles, 26, could not find the toilet on arrival to their AirBnB in East Sussex. Then they found it in the wardrobe. 'We thought it was absolutely hilarious. Myself and my brother just wet ourselves laughing thinking it was the strangest thing ever.'.

The quirky property, that set Rachel back £400 for two nights on AirBnB, is described as a 'beautiful, traditional, thatched roof cottage' which comfortably fits four people. The Old Thatch boasts two double bedrooms, with an electric log burner in the living room.
