'I tried a £2 shampoo from Home Bargains and my hair has never felt better'

A Home Bargains shopper claims her hair has "never felt better" since trying a £2 shampoo. Posting on TikTok as @Jessmcg_, Jess revealed she's sworn by the beauty product ever since trying it out at the recommendation of a haircare expert, and she's never looked back. In fact, she's ditched her high-end shampoos in favour of the cheaper Dove alternative. As highlighted in one of Jess's videos, she loves Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo.
Stocking up on the £1.99 shampoo, Jess took viewers with her on her Home Bargains trip in a shopping vlog. Jess told TikTok users: "Come along with me. We're going to need a trolley for this one because I'm not holding back. "I did actually need to grab a few bits I'd run out of, one of the things being this Dove shampoo. I absolutely swear by it. Don't knock it till you've tried it." Jess explained that she saw the shampoo recommended by a trichologist (a hair and scalp health specialist) on TikTok.
"Since following her recommendations my hair has never felt better. I've ditched a lot of my high-end shampoos," she shared. The shopper added that she uses a clarifying shampoo once a week, and she also added a Pantene Keratin Shampoo to her basket. According to Abbey Yung, a trichologist who posts on TikTok as @Abbeyyung, Dove Intensive Repair is a great choice for hair that needs a little TLC. The expert featured the products in a video devoted to "insanely amazing unsexy beauty products that are way too underrated.".
She claimed: "Dove Intensive Repair is hands down the most unsexy shampoo and conditioner that I recommend. Like, I was even sketched out to try this the first time strictly because of the packaging, but I'm so glad that I did because the ingredients are incredible for damaged hair and my hair feels amazing after I use these.". On Dove's website, its Intensive Repair shampoo is said to help strengthen damaged hair "from within". It also is "enriched with unique Smart Target Technology to target and repair damage", and Fibre Repair Actives to help "reconstruct inner hair fibre".
