I'm obsessed with fragrances and that might even be an understatement. My personal perfume collection has over 80 bottles - and counting - and I've got so many scented candles that I could use one every single day and not need to buy any new ones until the summer.
This week I was lucky enough to get my hands on a 'scent of royalty' that has been on my radar for months. I'd read a review on Sephora that said: "The scent of royalty! Last for probably 5/6 hours with two spray. It's definitely a big scent in a small package. If I could envision what it smells like to be a wealthy queen, this is it!".
Well, who doesn't want to smell like a wealthy queen? I got the 30ml bottle of Empressa which currently retails at £110 directly from Penhaligon's. They do a larger 100ml bottle for £215 but I would always recommend buying a smaller bottle first to make sure you both love and regularly use a scent as if you keep a bottle on your shelf for years it can start to lose its iconic smell.

My first impression of the bottle was pure luxury. I've had perfumes show up in flimsy card boxes or even just padded in bubble wrap before so I always notice a good box. The bottle itself is beautiful and the bow makes it something of a display piece. Due to the sheer amount of perfume I have I keep mine in a cool dark space.
The inside of a cupboard or drawer is ideal, as exposure to warmth and sunlight can cause your perfume to fade faster. If you have less than 10 perfumes though, I'd argue you could just leave it on your dressing table as you'll likely get through it before it makes a difference.
