'I'm an American living in the UK – Brits are horrified by these seven US habits' A US expat has shared a series of American habits that people in the UK could find rude, including a surprising cutlery practise.
In a recent video, Kalyn set out seven American habits that could be interpreted as rude in the UK, from house tours to being loud and talking openly about religion.
She added that Americans enjoy their homes as a place to "have people over for longer periods of time", something Kalyn says "reflects back" on their love of the house tour.
"And in some ways, that could be true; you could be proud of your house or things that you've done to it and maybe you do want to show it to somebody for some appreciation.".
However, Kalyn explained that there is "another element" to this habit, claiming that meeting people out and about, rather than in your home, is more common in the UK than in the US.
