The documentary is narrated by Avicii, real name Tim Bergling, who journeys from his upbringing as a timid boy in Stockholm to touring sold-out shows.
In the forthcoming documentary, his close friend Jesse Waits recalls spotting the early signs of Tim's addiction and recognising changes in his demeanour.
Avicii - I'm Tim tells the story of the star, who would have been 35 now, through never-before-seen footage and interviews with close friends, family and colleagues.
Speaking in the 2017 Avicii: True Stories documentary, he said: "I found the magical cure of just having a couple of drinks before going on.".
