APPLE customers have expressed their frustration after spotting what they claim to be a major issue with iPhone's alarm system. One iPhone user voiced their frustration with the tech company, as the glitch reportedly made them late for work. The original Reddit poster said that their 10.30am alarm rang at 12.42am and included a picture of their alarm as evidence.
Other social media users who have experienced the same problem flocked to the post and upvoted it 2,200 times. “Upvoting” is similar to “liking” a post on other social media sites. One user named @CuteBananaCat said that they missed an “important exam” because of the faulty feature.
She said: “I literally bought a physical alarm clock after I missed an important exam bc of this stupid issue. “Like seriously Apple what’s so hard about making an alarm work, even the dumbest of dumb phones can do that.”. Another user said that they were even late for work, because of the alarm glitch, with another adding that the glitch is "incredibly frustrating".
Apple first acknowledged that there were problems with the alarm feature in April 2023. This was prompted by a report by NBC’s Today which highlighted reports that the iPhone’s Attention Aware Features are to blame. The Attention Aware Features use the TrueDepth camera to make user experiences easier.
