Xbox players can grab a huge nine free games after months of lacklustre lineups

XBOX Game Pass has been in a bit of a rut over the last six months following big changes to the subscription service. Not only were their price increases across the board, but Game Pass for Console changed to Xbox Game Pass Standard. Standard includes online functionality, but removed access to recent releases, meaning that over 40 games were removed from Game Pass’ mid-price tier.

Slowly, some of these games are returning to Standard, and this month a few new games are even coming to the service. Four games will be added to Standard this month, which is a big change to how Xbox has been running the tier over the past six months.

Gigantic: Rampage Edition, Starbound, Shady Part of Me and Far Cry New Dawn will be coming to Standard at the same time that they are added to Ultimate. Subscribers of the more expensive Ultimate tier will be receiving nine new games this month, and PC players will get eight.

Alongside the four games listed above, Ultimate players will be able to play Lonely Mountain: Snow Riders, Eternal Strands, Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap, Sniper Elite: Resistance, & Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector. PC Game Pass players will have access to most of the Ultimate games with the exception of Starbound which is only available on console.
Here are the nine new games that are being added to Xbox Game Pass this month and their release dates:. In addition to the four games that are being added to Game Pass Standard this month, five games will be returning to the service. These include some big-budget games like Kunitsu-gami and Tchia, but a few indie hits are also coming back.
