But, as we know, all good things come to those who wait, and Epic Games' cultural phenomenon will be experiencing some server downtime before the festivities within Fortnite Chapter 6 truly get to begin. But it looks like it'll be more than worth the wait, particularly as the iconic Cozy Cabin is set to return for the first time since 2022!.
So, is Fortnite down? And, when do servers come back online? Here's the confirmed Fortnite server downtime for update 33.11. Fortnite servers go down at 12pm GMT / 7am EST / 4am PST today, Wednesday, December 18. The downtime was confirmed, as always, by a post from the @FortniteStatus Twitter account – although it wasn't exactly a surprise. Reputable leakers pegged the date for this week's Fortnite downtime already, with update 33.11 set to finally usher in the Winterfest 2024 event. What is a surprise, however, is the time in which today's downtime begins, with previous updates, including downtime for update 33.10, beginning at the more usual time of 9am GMT / 4am EST / 1am PST, some three hours earlier.
