Fortnite Winterfest is upon us again, and so far, it looks like players are in for heaps of new map changes, returning weapons, and even some suitably whimsical crossover skins. Fortnite Winterfest 2024 is right around the corner, although you might want to focus on the real-life holiday season first. The Christmas-themed event for Fortnite always seems to come a little late, but frankly, if Fortnite wants to give us heaps of free cosmetics to celebrate the season, we’ll take them whenever Epic Games is willing to spare them.
Fortnite Winterfest is always a joy, sprinkling festivity across the island with heaps of Item Shop skins, free cosmetic gifts for players, and, if we’re lucky, a toasty cabin where we can kick up our feet, grab a cup of cocoa and unwrap our presents. Chances are, though, the game will opt for yet another quest-based functionality for its Fortnite Winterfest 2024 content – but it won’t keep us from getting stuck in, even though Fortnite Chapter 6 has already given us plenty to get on with, like with the arrival of Fortnite Ballistic and the new Lego Fortnite Brick Life mode. Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite’s Winterfest 2024 update.
The Fortnite Winterfest 2024 event will begin on Friday, December 20, as confirmed by reputable leaker @Hypex in a Twitter post, two days after the Fortnite Winterfest 2024 update is set to arrive, with the post also confirming that Winterfest 2024 will end on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
This makes for a pretty late event for Fortnite Winterfest 2024, as the Fortnite Winterfest 2023 release date was a few days earlier, starting on Thursday, December 14, 2023. It’s a shame to wait so long for the event, and this year's Winterfest event won't even run longer than last year's, with Fortnite Winterfest 2023 running for 19 days until January 2, 2024, while this year's will last 18 days in total.
