House Of The Dragon’s Paddy Considine plays town doctor Séamus Proctor, while Mad Men star Christina Hendricks is Wendy Patterson, a local girl who found success as a TV producer in LA and returns home after more than 20 years.
The IT Crowd's Chris O’Dowd returns to his Irish roots for his new series Small Town, Big Story, which caused disruption when it was filmed just a few miles down the road from his mum’s house in rural west Ireland.
As well as writing and directing Small Town, Big Story, Chris also appears as the author of the book that the TV series being made is based on.
Christina’s character Wendy has lost her Irish accent, unlike many of the people Chris comes across in real life.
“I meet them all the time, the type of Irish Americans who sound like they have never been to Ireland but then start talking in an Irish accent after 10 minutes,” he says.
