ITV Emmerdale star Daisy Campbell has already landed new role after sudden soap exit

Emmerdale star Daisy Campbell revealed she landed a new role after it was announced she would be leaving the soap. Earlier this year, an announcement revealed that the 21-year-old star was leaving the show after 13 years on our screens. The actress is best known for her role as Amelia Spencer in the long-running soap series but her character will last be seen in an episode that airs later on ITV.
Speaking on Lorraine this week, Daisy discussed her final-ever episode, which was filmed a few months ago, as well as what she's doing next. She admitted that with the festive season well underway, she wasn't expecting to get any work until after the Christmas holidays.
She told Lorraine Kelly's stand-in host, Ranvir Singh: "I didn't expect to work until next year because it's so close to Christmas. I've never been or done anything else. I'm new to the industry basically outside of soap. I excitedly filmed something a few weeks ago, which comes out next summer.".
Ranvir went on to ask whether she could provide more details, but Daisy admimtted: "No I can't say anything until tomorrow. It's something I've always wanted to do. The other things comes out next year. I've been busy, I didn't even expect it!" The star also revealed she is watching her final Emmerdale scenes with her mum and dad at home.
Daisy joined Emmerdale as Ameia at the age of eight. She was introduced as the niece of Rachel Breckle and went through many storylines including her Christian faith, suffering from an eating disorder, becoming pregnant and giving birth as a teen mother. Other storylines included being groomed, stalked and losing her guardian to prison. Her character is currently in a relationship with evil Tom King - oblivious to his abuse of Belle Dingle - and is a mum to Esther, now two, after her shock pregnancy with Samson Dingle in 2022.
