The Chase fans were left stunned on Thursday's episode as one contestant revealed her age. During the latest episode of the hit ITV game show, viewers were introduced to contestants Aaban, Margaret, Willis and George. As each contestant introduced themselves, show watchers were left floored to learn that Margaret was in fact 92.
Margaret revealed she had lived in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, for eight years, and her husband worked in the RAF, meaning they had moved 33 times. Talking about her family, Margaret revealed her son Matthew had previously been on the show and won £25,000 so she wanted to have a go too.
Revealing her plans if she won money, Margaret explained that her other son, Adrian, was an airline pilot and he was due to retire soon so she wanted to go on one of his flights before retirement. Host Bradley Walsh was left in awe over Margaret's age as he revealed she was the ITV show's oldest ever female contestant, adding that she looked great for her age.
Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: "Margaret at 92 is doing fantastically! #TheChase", a different account wrote: "Wow 92! #TheChase", another wrote: "92 go on Margaret #thechase", a different fan put: "Margaret is looking fab at 92! #TheChase" while a different account added: "92 and going on quiz shows. Amazing. And she looks fantastic #TheChase.".
Elsewhere, another wrote: "If only we could all be like Margaret when we hit 92! #TheChase", a different account put: "What a lovely 92 years young Lady #TheChase", another put: "Wow, this Lady is 92 years old!
