Lorraine Kelly has shared a succinct response following Princess Kate's encouraging health news, simply remarking "It is good" in light of Kate's update on her recovery. The Princess of Wales had made a return visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital on Tuesday (January 14) to personally thank the team for their "exceptional" care during her chemotherapy last year. Alongside interacting with cancer patients at the facility, Kate subsequently expressed her gratitude online to those who supported her through her illness, and joyfully revealed that she is now in remission.

While chatting with Royal Editor Russell Myers, Lorraine didn't mince her words about Kate's health update: "This is great. It's just great news, isn't it? It's what we've all wanted to hear, and was so good to see her having such empathy with everyone.".

Russell highlighted the significance of Kate making the London hospital one of her first stops since resuming Royal responsibilities, noting the profound impact of her visit on those she met. Lorraine voiced her agreement, stressing the authenticity of Kates empathy due to her personal battle with the disease. "You could see it when people were interviewed after they'd spoken to her and how much it meant to them," she said, reports the Daily Record.

"It's all very well for people to go and say, 'I sympathise', but she empathises because she's actually been through it herself. It makes all the difference in the world.". Recounting her own visit to the respected institution where her friend Dame Deborah James, who died from bowel cancer in 2022, was treated, Lorraine commended the "incredible" work being carried out by the hospital staff and highlighted the "remarkable" atmosphere provided for patients.
