The Daredevil actress, 52, was lending support to World Central Kitchen (WCK) a not-for-profit organisation that provides food relief, when she was caught by MSNBC for a quick interview with Katy Tur.
In the news segment discussing the destruction caused by the blaze, Jennifer joined Chef Jose Andres and revealed that her friend was one of the 11 people to die. ‘I did lose a friend. And for our church, it’s really tender. So, I don’t feel like I should talk about her yet.
She added: ‘But yeah, I did lose a friend who did not get out on time.’. Katy Tur asked the actress, ‘And this is intensely personal for you, you just mentioned that it’s your neighbourhood and you’ve lived here for a long time.’. The actress held back tears as she revealed how personal the destruction was to her personally. ‘My heart bleeds for my friends, I can think of 100 families – and there are 5,000 homes lost- without even thinking, I can write out a list of a hundred friends that lost their homes.’.
