Joe admits that food time in his family home can be "chaotic" and understands that "connivence" wins when it comes to plating up healthy dinners – but he stressed that people can make convenient food, healthily, including batch cooking things such as a bolognese, or a slow cooked curry which can "sit in the fridge for two or three days" to allow healthy food.
Joe went on to say: "I'm with them all the time, and me and my wife are trying to educate them and, you know, be calm and give them everything they want and also give them an outdoorsy life, we're trying to get them in the garden and getting them out.
But when you get on TV, some people feel like they don't want to see you on TV, they just think you get thrust into their lives, that's when the mean comments come out.".
"It's a constant battle isn't because some days go smoother, other days are difficult or one of the kids will get colder and it Rosie won't be feeling good and so you just got stuff is teamwork.
Ahead of our chat, Joe spent just one night away from his family in Margate due to taking part in a roller disco with supermarket giant, ASDA.
