Prince William and wife Kate have shared a number of sweet photos as they wish they nation a happy new year, after a particularly difficult 2024 for the family. The couple's official X page posted a number of happy photos from the last twelve months, including of the family laughing together in a field, and another on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with the King. This year has been incredibly difficult for the family, after Kate was diagnosed with cancer in March.
Poignantly, one of the photos was from her first engagement back after treatment when she joined William to meet some of the survivors of the horrific Southport stabbings. Another image was taken at Kate's beloved Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey earlier this month.
Alongside a tick next to 2024, the family's X account posted: "Happy New Year! Wishing you all a wonderful 2025." Despite their difficult 2024, several of the pictures nodded at some of their happiest moments from the year, including when William, Charlotte and George shared a selfie with Taylor Swift at Wembley.
Another was from January, when Prince William met Kevin Sinfield and Rob Burrow, as well as the MND campaigner's family. Today's post drew several comments from royal fans keeping an eye on the account. One said: "Wishing a very happy and healthy New Year to my favourite little family. I truly hope 2025 will be a much better year and that our Princess will continue to get stronger and healthier everyday. I love you guys so much and I'm so ready to keep supporting you in 2025.".
