Katie Holmes was spotted for the first time since her ex boyfriend Jamie Foxx made an offensive comment about about being 'cured' from dating white women. On Sunday, the actress, 45, put on a brave face as she flashed a tight smile while walking down the busy streets in New York City in a bright green, Elphaba-inspired coat.
At one point, she even stopped to pose in front of a Wicked musical poster. She carried massive bouquet of flowers as she headed to the Ethel Barrymore Theatre for her matinee performance of the Broadway play, Our Town. Ahead of getting into costume and transforming into her character Mrs. Webb, she bundled up in the vibrant trench coat, which she layered over a butter yellow turtleneck.
She prepared for the chilly winter weather with a gray knit sweater wrapped around her shoulders as a scarf and a black beanie to keep her head and ears warm. The Dawson's Creek alum — who returned to Broadway after spending Thanksgiving with her 18-year-old daughter Suri Cruise — also sported a pair of reddish-brown, tinted aviator sunglasses.
Katie Holmes was spotted for the first time since her ex Jamie Foxx joked about being 'cured' from dating white women five years after their romance. The Ice Storm star carried a taupe, suede bag and completed her look with a pair of black, leather booties.
Her outing comes just days after her ex, Foxx, made a joke about no longer dating white women after their past romance. During his new Netflix special, What Had Happened Was, the actor said he was 'cured' after he suffered a stroke and was in a coma earlier this year.
